Armand Petitjean is the man behind one of the leading names in the beauty industry — Lancôme. He launched this brand with the help of his friend, Guillaume d’Ornano, in France in 1935 borrowing the name from the castle of Le Château de Lancosme. With Armand’s passion for roses, they introduced the brand with only 5 perfumes, quickly moving into skincare and makeup in the upcoming years.
