Kiehl’s was born with John Kiehl launching his homeopathic pharmacy in New York in 1851. Following that, the store was bought over by a Russian Jewish emigrant, a pharmacist, Irvin Morse. Despite Kiehl’s long history, most of the credit for the brand’s success goes to the son of Irvin, Aaron, who has transformed Kiehl’s from the pharmaceutical company into the upscale natural skincare brand in the 1980’s. Today Kiehl’s is on the rise of its popularity not only for their superior quality natural products, but also for their environmental approach to the brand’s development.
