Public School’s Dao Yi-Chow and Maxwell Osborne have sharpened their perspective on streetwear since
launching their women’s line – which in just a short time is surpassing their acclaimed menswear in
sales – with a disciplined deconstruction that bridges high fashionwith sub and pop culture. Paying
homage to their namesake, the label revives the nineties as remembered by their coming of age in
hometown NYC.

Riffs on the throwback classics include low-rise flood denim, muted floral prints, sporty nylon
track suits, oxford shirting and reimagined windbreakers, all with a modern, sartorial edit. There’s
also an infusion of femininity – slinky dresses, delicate sheers, pleated midi skirts, denim minis
and crisp twill wraps in slim fits that agree with the usual affinity for oversized, athleisure
styling. Overall, it’s an approachable offering for the contemporary market, infused with relatable
references that lend character without cliches.
