Established in 2012 by accountant Genevieve Chew and architect Jacqueline Chak, Edit is a Hong Kong-based womenswear brand known for contemporary wardrobe essentials at attainable price points. The founding friends met while in London and quickly bonded over a shared passion for fashion. Chew and Chak dreamt of starting their own fashion business one day and the two opened their concept store, Edit, in 2011 when they relocated back to Hong Kong.
The Edit line epitomizes clean lines coupled with minimalistic yet impressionable color schemes. Each piece is feminine and classically easygoing. The label has thus far incorporated and reinterpreted trends such as crop tops, culottes, overalls, tomboyish pieces that blend seamlessly into the contemporary female wardrobe. Reinterpreting feminine, uncluttered shapes for the modern woman has been at the core of the duo’s designs.
